NFPS Breakaway & Self-Defence Instructors Qualifying Course (2 Days)
Aim:
To accredit individuals to deliver the 1 Day BTEC Level 2 Intermediate Award in Breakaway & Self-Defence.
Objectives & Course Content:
By the end of the course delegates will be able to understand:
·The administration and documentation required for delivery of the BTEC level 2 Award in Physical Restraint Practice.
·Our statute and Common Law Rights to Self-Defence.
·The defining principles associated with Reasonable Force.
·How Article 2 of The Human Rights Act 1998 applies.
·The physiological and psychological principles behind skill construction and motor learning and performance.
·The effects of stress and anxiety and how it effects recall of skill under pressure.
·What techniques fail and why.
·What techniques work and why.
·Health and Safety at Work Legislation in relation to the use for force for personal safety at work.
·How to apply a hierarchical risk management approach to the use of physical force whilst at work.
·Instruction in the NFPS Ltd approved techniques for breaking away and defending against a violent physical assault.
Certification:
On successful completion of the course delegates will achieve NFPS Instructor Accreditation in Breakaway and Self-Defence Instruction.

Suitable for:
Individuals looking to deliver a Nationally Recognised Vocational Qualification in Breakaway and Self-Defence.
In-House Cost:
£2,400 + Vat + travelling expenses, accommodation and meals where required - up to 20 delegates can be trained in-house.
Cost per person: (for open/public courses)
£1200.00 + Vat (includes yearly License Agreement fee of £475 + Vat per annum).

License
On successful completion of the course each delegate will receive a license agreement with NFPS Limited entitling them to offer the BTEC Level 2 Intermediate Award in Breakaway and Self-Defence Instruction.
Training Materials
All delegates will receive a complete Quality Management License pack including all of the required BTEC / Awarding Body forms, presentations, manuals, and all of the associated paperwork required to deliver the BTEC Level 2 Award.
