Aim:

To address challenging behaviour in children and young people.
   
Objectives & Course Content:

At the end of this course staff will be able to identify and understand:

  • Defining challenging behaviour - including the differences between challenging behaviour and learning disability.

  • Understanding the risk associated with challenging behaviour by service users under the influence of alcohol and / or drugs.

  • Awareness of the risks posed by knives and other forms of edged weapons in the uk.
     
  • Understanding what does and does not constitute Reasonable Force with children and young people.
   
Certification:
All delegates will receive a certificate of attendance on completion of the course.
