The Edexcel BTEC Certificate in Close Protection Operations
 
     
 

Aim:

The Edexcel BTEC Certificate in Close Protection Operations is designed to provide: training for all staff in industry sectors with a responsibility to provide close protection operations by training personnel to achieve a nationally recognized level 3 vocationally specific qualification the knowledge, understanding and skills learners need to undertake appropriate and effective close protection operations to a competent standard.

   
Objectives & Course Content:

The Edexcel BTEC Certificate in Close Protection Operations is a 150 hour qualification consisting of 5 units of 30 hours each.

To achieve the whole qualification, a learner must successfully complete all units which are:

 

Unit 1: Skills and Teamwork in Close Protection

 

Unit 2: Legislation, Communications and Conflict Management Skills in Close Protection

 

Unit 3: Assessment, Planning and Route Selection

 

Unit 4: Surveillance, Reconnaissance, Incidents and Dilemmas

 

Unit 5: Techniques for Close Protection Operatives

   
Certification:
Upon successful completion of the course all students will receive the Edexcel BTEC Certificate in Close Protection Operations.

150 Hours - 3 weeks (Mon - Fri only)

Pre-Registration Requirements

Candidates who register for the The Edexcel BTEC Certificate in Close Protection Operations must be aged 18 and over.
