Following on from the success of the New 1 Day Briefing on the Use of Physical Force for Social Services, Health & Safety Officers, Education & Teaching Staff, we are now offering all Professionals the opportunity to attend a one-day event to look at the issues associated with Breakaway Training.
The course not only looks at this issue from the legal aspect of what an individuals may and may not do consistent with the law, but also draws on evidential research into human factors, such as: how individuals are likely to behave in situations of serious and imminent danger, the pressures and stress they will experience and how these will manifest and have an impact on their ability to defend themselves.
This course is based on inclusive evidential research into why some techniques will work and why others will fail and will draw on various research papers on the subject.
As a result of what we know many organisations may unwittingly be purchasing training in this area or are possibly running courses that may be placing staff at an even greater risk and as such increasing the liability of the organisation. In one recent case a local authority member of staff was injured during a training event and then subsequently took an action against her employer which resulted in a £6,000.00 out of court settlement.
This is an important course for all mangers and organizations who are already delivering this type of training and / or who may be considering purchasing this type of training from an outside provider.
Cost of the event: Only £125+vat per person - special introductory offer
Seminar Dates & Locations:
21st March 2006: Birmingham
