March Instructors Course: 6 – 10 March 2006, including the BTEC Level 3 Advanced Award in Physical Restraint Practice
Those attending the NFPS Instructors Qualifying Course will now also be eligible to apply for the BTEC Level 3 Advanced Award in Physical Restraint Practice. Places on the course are now very limited so if you are considering attending please let us know as soon as is possible to ensure that you have a place reserved.

3 Day Refresher Course for current NFPS Level 1 & 2 Instructors
Last November we ran a 3 day refresher course for current and former NFPS Level 1 & 2 Instructors and due to the success of the course we are now intending to run another one between the 13 – 15 March 2006.
At this event much more emphasis was placed on the practical application of skill in the gym as opposed to classroom work allowing those who attended to focus more specifically on their physical instructional and coaching ability.

New 1 Day Briefing on the use of Physical Force for Social Services, Health & Safety Officers, Education & Teaching Staff
This event has been constructed to specifically target individuals within organisations with the responsibility for managing and/or investigating staff who use physical force as part of their occupational role and would be suitable for Head Teachers, Social Workers, Child Protection Officers, Child Care staff Children’s Directorate Management, Health and Safety Officers, Health and Safety Inspectors, CSCI Inspectors, and anyone involved in the management and control of physical intervention in the workplace.
